Starting to play the game
Download the Patapon [EU] usual is the Patapon.cso file and you need to set your UMD Drive at Sony NP9660, I think 3.71+ CFW should also be considered to play this game.
Making Screenshot
Download this CFW Extender to make a screenshot of your PSP

Game Play Mechanics
(some were taken from velcry on gamefaqs)
Fundamentals of Rhythm
Each “Cycle” consists of 8 beats, the first 4 where you input the button presses, and the next 4 where the Patapons sing to acknowledge your input.
You have to wait for them to stop singing, before you can input the next set of commands.
If you screw up, you can only begin another 8 beat cycle after one uninterrupted beat has passed. This means that if you screw up, you can't immediately start the next cycle, you have to wait for a beat to pass first.
Fundamentals of Fever
Now you're wondering how will I maintain Fever Mode. During the first few levels you managed to work your way up to Fever, but had it fail for some inexplicable reason.
When Fever first begins, your Patapons don't Sing their usual chant, and this may throw you off track! This special chant of theirs, which changes according to which stage you're on, is known as the Fever 'Intro'.
The best way to counter this is not to rely on what the Patapons are singing during their 4 beat half of the cycle. Keep the tempo in your head; even sing it softly to yourself until you get the hang of it. That way, you can continue Fever even when the Patapons sing their Fever Intro.
There are also visual aids to help you build up Fever. Look at the Combo Meter, the numbers here flash at the exact times you should input your button presses.
Sometimes with all the action on screen you can get distracted, such as when Bosses smash the ground creating similar but off-tempo rhythms. Concentrate on the Combo Meter flashes to keep track of your timing.
Alternatively, notice that every beat in the cycles are accompanied by a white border flash around the screen, which turns into a green border flash when you enter Fever. Use this too, to keep track of your timing!
Explanation of the System
Just like other rhythm games, each drum hit is counted as either a 'Good', 'Great', or 'Perfect' in increasing order of accuracy. You can tell how accurate you have been by listening intently to the drum beat! This is a list of how different the drum beats sound:
Good:
High pitched sound, like hitting a glass plate
Great:
Normal, flat drum sound
Perfect:
Full, echoic bass sound
10 combos is the maximum to enter Fever Mode. However, you can shorten this you get 4 Perfect beats in a row.
Without Fever, a 'Good', 'Great' or 'Perfect' can all be used to increase the Combo meter, and complete the current Chant / Song.
In Fever mode, only a 'Great' or 'Perfect' can continue Fever - a mere 'Good' will break Fever (you will hear a WOOP sound), but will thankfully still complete the current Chant / Song.
Why Break Fever?
There are some instances when you want or need to break Fever to help you in the game. As you fight Bosses at higher levels, or as the battle draws on, the Bosses may get out of sync with your rhythm.
Say you begin a Boss fight with an March-March-Attack-Retreat sequence - this may give you ample time to retreat before the Boss attacks. But as the battle wears on, the Boss may begin to attack earlier or later, and may launch their attack just a few seconds earlier which... is bad.
Lastly, this game is about practice and getting into the mood of things. For a while you'll extremely frustrated by the lack of Fevers and you'll want to tear up that Contract you signed at the beginning of the game. But really, practice makes perfect! Don't get discouraged! We were all NOOBS with this game when we began!
Patapon Statistical
Patapon Spear (Yaripon) -Long Range Unit-
Patapon Sword / Axe (Tatepon) -Melee Unit-
Patapon Archer (Yumipon) -Long Range Unit-
Patapon Horse (Kibapon) -Melee Unit-
Patapon Mace (Dekapon) -Melee Unit-
Patapon Horn (Megapon) -Long Range Unit-
The Rarepons and their Unique Attributes
Pykola (Red) = Movement boost
Gekolos (Yellow) = Small Atk boost, increased resistance to fire
Mofeel (Purple) = Large Def boost, increased vulnerability to fire
Tikulee (Blue) = Medium Atk boost
Mogyoon (Horny Light Purple) = Super Atk boost, slow movement
Barsala (Angelic Green) = Large universal stat boot, no weak points
Quote from: velcry of GameFaqs
Tatepon comes from "tate" which means "shield" in Japanese.
Yaripon comes from "yari" which means "spear" in Japanese.
Yumipon comes from "yumi" which means "bow" in Japanese.
Kibapon is a bit trickier to explain. Basically, when you get on something to fight, may it be a horse for a serious to-death fight, or on your friend's shoulders for a friendly brawl with some other friends (which basically mimics the to-death fight on the horse), it is called "kibasen". It basically means that you're not fighting on foot, but on a horse's back. By the way, "kiba" is composed f 2 kanjis: "ki" which means to get on something, and "ba" which means horse.
Dekapon comes from "dekai" which is an adjective in japanese that means "large", "big".
Megapon though, I don't really know, but it might come from "megaloman", as in someone really fond of music. Well it makes sense to me anyway.
Quote
Every now and then, when some of your units get hit, you may hear one of them scream: "konoyaro!" It means "you bastard!" or any similar insult. Of course, it's in Japanese.
Patapon Attributes
HP - Patapon's Health
Damage - How badass said Patapon is
Speed - Attack Speed / Movement Speed Rate
Armour vs Inf - Defense against infantry units.
Armour vs Arw. - Defense against Arrows
Armour vs Spr - Defense against Spears
Armour vs Lnc - Defense against Lance (Halberds)
Crit Chance - Critical Rate (Critical is twice of the normal damage)
KB Chance - How often Patapon's hits knock the enemy backwards.
Cnc Chance - How often Patapon's hits concuss the enemy, and make them fall asleep.
Resist vs Crit. - Resistance against Critical Attacks
Resist vs KB. - Resistance against knock back
Resist vs Cnc. - Resistance against concussive attacks, more is better.

*Patapon Drums*
Pon Drum = o
Pata Drum = ?
Chaka Drum = ?
Don Drum = x
Patapon Song (I just made an alternate naming convention for the song)
Pata Pata Song = March Combo = Pata Pata Pata Pon = ?-?-?-o
Pon Pon Song = Attack Combo = Pon Pon Pata Pon = o-o-?-o
Chaka Chaka Song = Defense Combo = Chaka Chaka Pata Pon = ?-?-?-o
Pon Pata Song = Retreat/Dodge Combo = Pon Pata Pon Pata = o-?-o-?
Pon Chaka Song = Charge Combo = Pon Pon Chaka Chaka = o-o-?-?
Don Don Song = Miracle Combo = Don DoDon DoDon = x-xx-xx
*Effects of Pon Chaka Song to your Patapon Unit*
I think the damage is not far from Fever or your damage will increase a little when you use Charge Combo while in Fever.
Yumipons – They do a jumping attack.
Tatepons – They do a little running jump attack.
Yaripons – They shoot more arrows than usual.
Kibapons – They rush forwards to deal more damage than usual, and their range is significantly improved if they are not already in Fever
Dekapons – They do a ground smash, which stuns all enemies on stage. Bosses are unaffected by this.
Megapons – They shoot out red piercing notes instead of normal ones. When you Defend after Charging, it will launch a yellow blocks of note which stick in the ground and act as barriers against approaching enemies!
*Miracle Song*
Note: Each “Cycle” consists of 8 beats, the first 4 where you input the button presses, and the next 4 where the Patapons sing to acknowledge your input.
In executing the Miracle Song [X - XX - XX] = [Don -DoDon - DoDOn] the chant is 3 beat only WHILE in Fever Mode. So meaning you will not execute the normal chant which is 4 beat WHEN executing a Miracle Song.
The first beat is Don (X) the 2nd beat is DoDon (XX) and the 3rd beat is Dodon (XX).
Most people where confuse on executing the Miracle Song becuase of the normal/usual routine of 4 beat chant. Failing to press twice at 2nd and 3rd beat will faill you to launch a Miracle Song.
And again you need to be in Fever Mode to launch a Miracle Song and every corresponding Miracle Song have their own sequence. AND after you successfully launched a Miracle Song your Fever will drop, in short you need to start back at First Combo. ^_^

*How acquire the Rain Miracle*
Kill Majidonga Boss on the Miracle of Lostdon Map.
*How to acquire Tailwind Miracle*
You can get it at Gold Mot!ti on the World of Ooze Map (2nd to last hunting map) and don't use Flame weapons to kill the Gold Mot!ti.
*How to acquire Earthquake Miracle*
You can get it by killing the Cioking Boss at Claws of Cioking Map. This map is hidden on the Patapon World Map, before you can start this mission you need to get the Black Star at the Search for Lucky Star Map. Start the mission on the Search for Lucky Star Map ONLY when it is NOT RAINING, kill the Black Beetle and a star will show while continuously dropping Ka-ching. He will give you the Black Star on your first mission on this map.
*How to acquire Storm Miracle*
Kill the Shooshookle Boss and you will acquire the Storm Miracle.
*MiniGame*
1.) Tree MiniGame - Pon the Pakapon
- 2nd map after Hunting on Patata Plain
Just complete the mission and before you march to goal post you will see a black structure and destroy to obtain the Cap of Pon the Pakapon.
Playing the Tree MiniGame
Press the Circle O button AFTER he sings the Bon Bon Song with the right beat and rhytm.
Note:
Bon (press O)
Bonn (press O and hold for 1 sec)
BoBon (press O twice)
Sequence
Legend: (Dash) - is the interval and (Asterisk) * is the interval of how long to Hold.
1.) Bon Bon Bonn (O - O - O*)
2.) Bon Bon Bonn (O - O - O*)
3.) Bon Bon BoBonn (O - O - OO*)
4.) Bon Bon BoBonn (O - O - OO*)
5.) Bon BoBon BoBon (O - OO - OO)
6.) Bon BoBon BoBon (O - OO - OO)
7.) Bon Bon Bonn (O - O - O*)
8.) Bon Bon Bonn (O - O - O*)
2.) Flower MiniGame - Fah Zakfon
- Creatures of the Sand Map
Equip Rain Miracle before starting the mission. Execute any Song except for March Combo (you need to hold you Armies on the ground for the meantime) to be in Fever Mode by doing Attack/Defend Combo (Dodge and Charge if you have them exclude the March Combo in executing Fever Mode], perform the Don Don Song (Miracle Combo) by pressing X-XX-XX while in Fever Mode. After a successful Rain Miracle Combo you can now march your Patapons and you will see a Snail and you need to kill this to get the Cap of Fah Zakfon.
Playing the Flower MiniGame
Just follow the beat and the rhythm of the song. I press the (Circle) O button on this sequence 123-123-123 and so on until the song finish.
You know you're doing it right if the Flower's mood starts improving and eventually smiles. If the Flower starts frowning and flipping you the finger, you're probably pressing Circle too fast, too slow, or at an inconsistent pace.
It will throw the reward items above and you need to catch it by pressing circle depending on how many items it will throw. Press the circle when you see the item parallel to her head. If she throws 2 or 3 items, just press the (Circle) O button after 1sec interval press again the (Circle) O button to catch the next reward.
3.) Mountain MiniGame - Kon Kimpon
- Desert Paradise Map
Kill The Black Beetle to get the Cap of Kon Kimfon, if you hunt on this map again the Black Beetle drops certain good items. Don’t forget to kill the Pink Ostrich it will also drop an item.
Playing the Mountain MiniGame
The easiest way to play this minigame is by closing your eyes and just listen to the song and follow the rhythm and you need to do this in a silent/quiet surroundings, since I will give the sequence you don’t need to close your eyes ^_^
Sequence
1.) 123 — 4 55 6 (O-O-O — O-OO-O)
2.) 123 — 4 5 66 (O-O-O — O-O-OO)
3.) 1234 — 44 55 (O-O-O-O — OO-OO)
4.) 11-22 — 3 4 55 (OO-OO — O-O-OO)
4.) Chef MiniGame - Rah Gashapon
- World of Ooze Map
Don’t use Kibapon either way use Tatepon. You can disregard Tatepon and Kibapon but you will have a hard time on killing the Crab if they get near to you. Kill the Crabs and you can acquire the cap Rah Gashapon, Crabs also drop Metal Materials from level 1 to level, Golden Mot!ti will show on your first mission because it acquire the Wind Miracle Item and you need to kill it to past the Bachikoi Fort Mission you will also receive Level 4 Meat Material Dream Meat if you kill it.
Playing the Chef MiniGame
Just press (Circle) O button when the item arrives at the light arc to cut the items.
Playing the Chef MiniGame will create you a different Stew that will depend on the performance of your cooking. Stew is a vital addition to your Patapon units that will help you on your Mission.
There are 4 kinds of Stew
Level 1 – Gnarly Stew = HP +20
Level 2 – Tasty Stew = HP +40, Damage +1, Resist KB / Resist Cnc increase
Level 3 – King's Stew = HP +60, Damage +2, Crit Chance +10, Resists + 10
Level 4 – Divine Stew = HP +100, Damage + 5, all stats increase except Speed, Fire-Based Attacks
5. Blacksmith MiniGame - Ton Kampon
- Search for a Lucky Star
This is the final, the best and a must MiniGame to acquire because it will help you of making a Divine item using a Level 4 Rock Material (Mytheerial).
You need to take this mission TWICE to acquire the cap of Ton Kampon and you need to start this mission ONLY when it is NOT RAINING.
Did you read the clue embedded in the description of this stage? You need to sacrifice one of your Patapons army sacrifice himself, in short you need to start a mission and let 1 of your Patapon dies to STOP the rain randomly, the Storm stop on a random basis after one of your init dies. The sacrifice is not permanent, as long as one of your unit dies you can get the cap and revive it at the Tree of Life and remember to finish the mission and also you can sacrifice a unit in any missions.
Kill the Black Beetle (a good item may drop also after killing it) and a star will come out and drop too many Ka-ching, he will first give an item a Black Star that will reveal a hidden boss map (Claws of Cioking Map) as a token of gratitude on your first try.
The second try of this mission will drop the cap of Ton Kampon. There is also a Gold Mot!ti here, an instant Level 4 Meat Material (Mystery Meat).
Just remember to start this Mission ONLY if the Sky is CLEAR and not storming and don’t equip Flame weapons as well as to use only Yaripons and Yumipons.
Playing the Blacksmith MiniGame
You need to focus on his feet for you to succeed on this game.
Sequence
Note: the # represent how many times you will press the (Circle) O button. The speed of the 2nd and 3rd sequence will depend on the smith whether it will be speed or maintain the normal speed, actually the speed will depend on you performance on hammering.
1.) 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 2 1 1 1
2.) 2 2 1 2 2 2 2 1
3.) 1 2 1 2 2 2 1 1 2 2 1 1 2 1 2 2
4.) 1 1 2 1
Forging Divine Items
You need to use Level 4 Rock Material (Mytheerial) to forge a Divine Items, if successful you will be given random Divine Items that you currently don’t have in your Inventory. You can only have 1 set of Divine Items a total of 9 Divine Items. (i.e. Divine Spear, Divine Sword, Divine Shield, Divine Bow, Divine Halberd, Divine Horse, Divine Axe, Divine Horn and Divine Helm)
*Ka-ching Tips*
You can acquire a good ka-ching sa First Map (Hunting on Patata Plain) hovering 200+ ka-chings at yung the best map is yung Search for the Lucky Star and you need to this mission ONLY when it is not raining, move a bit until you see the Black Beetle by pressing right and only use the Patapon Archer (Yumipon) and Patapon Mega (Megapon) to hit it, most likely you will hit also the Gold Mot!ti coz the are near to each other most of the game on this map. The farther you are on the goal post the more ka-ching the star will drop ^_^.
Thanks to gooch and Morpheus
Sa desert map 2nd hunting map perform a rain miracle while in fever (mas maganda kung patayin mo muna yung snail or paalisin para abutan mo yung puno na tumubo) bago mag middle may tutubo na puno and you can hit for some ka-chings and be sure na mamaimaintain mo yung rain kung sa tingin mo mawawala na yung ulan perform rain miracler ulit kasi kapag nawala na yung ulan agad mawawala na rin yung puno, the longer the rain mas matagal mo matitira yung puno or maubos yung ka-chings sa puno.
*Level 4 Materials Acquisition*
Level 4 Tree Material (Super Cedar)
- Most of the Boss drop this and if you are good on boss fight, the boss drop this when you teeter them. Try killing Robot, Crab and Flower Boss.
Level 4 Meat Material (Mystery Meat)
- Kill Gold Mot!ti on the second to the last hunting map and the last hunting map, Gold Mot!ti is resistance to fire so don't use any flame or red weapons. (Bihira lang pala sya nalabas sa 2nd to the last hunting map, kung paano sya patayin diskarte mo na yun, alamin mo yung the easiest way to kill it ^_^)
Level 4 Rock Material (Mytheerial)
- Most of the Boss drop this and if you are good on boss fight, the boss drop this when you teeter them. Try killing Robot, Crab and Flower Boss.
Level 4 Metal Material (Magic Alloy)
- You can get this at the Blacksmith only when you get a Level 4 Metal Material. Robot Boss and Final Boss drop this (2-Faced Devil Gorl) ^_^
Level 4 Vegetable Material (Hazy Shroom)
- Play the Flower minigame, some Boss also drop this when you teeter or kill them.
(Vegetable and Meat are the same when combining materials on getting Rarepons)

*WALKTHROUGH*
Prologue
Move the cursor to the Sign logo and click X to sign and start the game.
You will now be given the Pon Drum
Start pressing (O) button following the Beat or with 1 sec interval and Hatapon will hear you. After the conversation he will give you the Pata Drum.
*Pata Pata Song = /March Combo = Pata Pata Pata Pon = ?-?-?-o
You will now learn the first Song. Execute the Combo with the right Beat and Rhythm, after a successful Combo you will hear the Patapon sings the Combo you made (Pata Pata Pata Pon) after you hear the Patapon sings, execute again the combo to make a 2 Combo (you can see the number of Combos you made on the upper left screen). You must not execute a combo while the Patapon is singing or else it will jeopardize your current combo and will return to the beginning. If you reach the maximum combo which is 10, your Patapon will be in Fever Mode (you can see the upper left screen that your Combo change to Fever). Don’t stutter when reach Fever Mode, normally it happens most of the time that you will be destructed when the Patapon reach the Fever Mode and will shout Fever!! Just after you hear them sung your Combo you need to execute another one or else the Fever will be jeopardize (whoop sound will be heard). You can also launch a shorter Fever Mode, you need to execute a 4 consecutive Combo with the same beat and rhythm.
March now to recruit Yaripon as your army and you will recruit a 3 Yaripons. March your army to the goal post and you will be chased by a Dodonga Boss, in front of you are 2 Zigoton army marching backward. Just ignore the Boss and the Zigoton and march up to the goal post to complete the mission. If you cannot maintain Fever Mode on this it is OK.
On the next scene you will now be back in the Patapolis and here you can input your name for 4 letters only, Kami is the default name. Use the L and R button to navigate the village. Press R to switch screen from right and L to switch screen to left. From Left of the Patapolis Centre are the MiniGames (you don’t have one yet at this time) and from the right is the Sanctuary (Mater Tree of Life - Patapon creations, you don’t have an acess on this as of now), Altar (Inventory of your items you gain while completing mission and you can also see how much Ka-Ching you have. You don’t have an access as of now) and the Black Patapon Wall (An Obelisk to reverted to the Patapon World Map and for you to choose and start your mission as well as to equip your Armies before the start of the mission)
Start of Missions
1st Mission - Hunting on Patata Plain
- (First hunting Map) “There’ll be no victory on an empty stomach!” (Lolz)
This is the first time you get to equip on your army but since this your first you had nothing to do but start the mission.
* Pon Pon Song = Attack Combo = Pon Pon Pata Pon = o-o-?-o
You will now learn the second Song. Execute the combo for your Patapon Army’s attack the Pyramid barricade. You need to execute 4 successful Attack Combo.
After you succeed on destroying the barricade you can now command your Patapons to Hunt Preys. Use March and Attack Combo to complete this mission. You'll notice a strangely-shaped Totem Pole, but for now just ignore it.
There are two types of prey on this level, the Kacheek (Cow like) and the usually sleeping bird Motiti.
You can't get too close for the Motiti for it'll up and run. You should try to keep at least two facings away from it, then hit it with your Yaripons.
These animals tend to start running away after you first hit them, so try to get close before you start hitting them. There are also sparkling daisies and red flower of this stage. When your Patapons hit them they release Ka-Ching. You can't target them directly, so try to have them in between your Yaripons and the prey. That way, your Yaripons will attack the animals, and the spears will hit them in mid-flight. Items disappear if left too long on the ground, so don't leave them uncollected for too long.
Patapolis: After you complete the mission you can now have an access to your Inventory when you are in Patapolis.
You have the option to start your next mission or you can revisit the Patata Plain. You can hunt for the meantime if you are new in the game for some spoils and practice.
2nd Mission - Escape from Isolation –
This mission is quite easy because you will have an aid with Ban the Tatepon (the godly Tatepon) and he will join you on this mission. Before you complete this mission he will be ascended but will leave his Memory and a Steel Shield.
You will also acquire the cap of Pon the Pakapon after destroying the black tombstone and random item with House. There is also a bee-hove hanging here and if you have the timing for you spear to land on them while attacking Zigotons, it will drop Ka-Chings.
Patapolis: You can now have an access to the Santuary the Mater Tree of Life and here it will rebirth Pon the Pakapon. Just wait Pon the Pakapon rebirth and he will walk across to the left of the village, as soon as he get to its position you can now start your first MiniGame. (Just refer to the MiniGame guide) You can now also create a new unit the Tatepon for obtaining the Tatepon Memory that Ban the Tatepon left after ascending.
Talk to Meden to start your next mission. I suggest you hunt more at the Patata Plain and collect some items for your Patapon creations before you start the next mission.
From this time on you need to save more frequently specially before starting your mission. Missions now will drop random items on the game so if you are not satisfied you can reset and start the mission again.
3rd Mission – Zigotons Strike Back –
If you had a good army created before this mission this would be and easy mission to be completed. Nothing in particular on this mission to look for, if you just find that you don’t get some good stuff quit and restart the mission.
4th Mission – Crack the Zigoton Fort! –
On this mission, this will be you first encounter on towers. You can easily break these towers if you had created a good armies and good numbers of armies. You will also be aided the expert archer Yuripon Legend on this mission so maintain Fever Mode and this mission would be an easy to accomplish. You can also collect some items here drop by the Zigotons after you killed them, some release items some not.
You will get also the Chaka Chaka Song Item here on this mission after you destroy the black tombstone.
Patapolis: You can now create a Yumipon (Patapon Archer) on the Tree of Life. Hunt again to collect some stuff and ka-chings for you to able create and build a new Patapon Armies.
5th Mission – Gong the Hawkeye –
This mission is an average mission for beginners; you might find difficulty on completing this mission. Just try your Armies to get close especially your Tatepons to get close to enemies and Gong and start attacking. You need to also to maintain Fever Mode for this mission to turn an easy one.
There is also a Patapon imprisoned in a caged in the middle and better free him for you to receive an item.
You will also acquire a Blank Map on completing this mission; this will serve for your next mission the first Boss Map.
6th Mission – Ancestral Guardian –
(Fleeting Guardian Dodonga)
Note: If you still don’t have a full army better farm first and make a full Patapon Army before you start this mission. Save before starting this mission.
Chaka Drum
Chaka Chaka Song = Defense Combo = Chaka Chaka Pata Pon = ?-?-?-o
You will now learn the 3rd Song after destroying the black tombstone and getting the the Chaka Drum, Chaka Song is the rhythm of defense and this will bring the best of your Tatepon.
Dodonga Boss
Dodonga has three main attacks. (I name it for myself)
1.) Fire Breathing – he will heads up on a full height
2.) Head Throw Crush – his head will lean around the middle height parallel to the ground
3.) Eat or Die – his head will lean near the ground (quite sitting and resting) the devastating and frustrating attack and one of your Patapon will surely die, if you were lucky the cap will be left but for most of the cases it is goodbye hehe.
Just maintain Fever Mode and if he performs any of his attack, execute a Defend Combo to lessen the damage he will deal. If he crouches very low to the ground (signaling the devastating attack, if you are near to him you don’t have a choice but to attack, you need to gamble to teeter him.
7th Mission – Desert Crossing –
7A Mission – Unlocking the secret of Patata Plain -
Star your mission on Hunting on Patata Plain Map. A few /March Combo you will see a Totem Pole with ?O?O mark from top to bottom.
Hit the ?O?O keys with the beat before the pole, if you ever past over the pole it will disappear so you must not pass over to reveal the secret. Hitting ?O?O will scramble the pole and will elongate above. W8 until pole elongated goes up and perform again the sign ?O?O and so on.
You need 4 successful attempt of the code for the pole totally meet its peak. It will release an item, Bent Compass to reveal a hidden Boss Map (Majidonga Boss, the 2nd Boss of the game) and you need to hunt at least 1 prey to complete this mission.
7B Mission – Miracle of Lostdon – (Dauntless Majidonga)
You will get the Don Drum after destroying the black tombstone when the mission begins.
On this mission you will now face the second boss of the game, Majidonga which is similar to Dodonga. The only difference is their color but the attacks are the same and Majidonga’s devastating attack mostly swallows your Patapon and not leaving the cap after it dies. If this happen just quit and restart again.
Do the same thing you did at Dodonga and before Majidonga dies it will release the Rain Miracle. Now you can perform/activate the Rain Miracle by pressing X-XX-XX (Don-DoDon-Dodon) while in Fever mode to cross the desert.
7C Mission – Desert Crossing –
Equip the Rain Miracle on the right panel before you start this mission.
The mission will start with of the tutorial of the Don Don Song, the Miracle Combo. You need to launch a fever to execute a Miracle Combo. Perform any available combo and hit a Fever, while in Fever Mode execute the Don Don Song (X-XX-XX) in exchange to your regular combo follow-up. Just refer to the Miracle Combo sequence section after succeeding on executing the Don Don Song.
When you see the sign post along the middle of the stage perform a Rain Miracle and you will be able to past the desert. While you were in the middle of the desert, most of the time you your Patapon will be caught in the middle of the desert toasted and fried if the rain stop. Before the rain stops or if you think the rain will stop perform another Rain Miracle so that you Patapon will not be toasted on the desert, 2 Rain Combo is enough to cross the desert (It is fun seeing your Patapon fried on the desert ^_^).
8th Mission – Zigotons Attack –
Side Mission: Cap of Fah Zakfon – Creatures of the Sand –
(Second hunting map)
Refer to the 2nd MiniGame – Flower – Fah Zakfon on the MiniGame Section.
On this mission you will now encounter the Zigaton Kibapon, they have a knock back once you get hit but not the Tatepon on a Defend Mode.
You just need to Defend when the Kibapon will launch an attack and attack brutally if your front path is open. Maintain in Fever Mode so you will an arrow spam of attacks.
9th Mission – Desert Behemoth -
(Desert King Zaknel)
King Zaknel has three main attacks.
1.) Fire Breathing – he will heads up on a full height in a position like a letter S.
2.) Head Slam – he will rise up higher standing straight while his tail closer to the ground.
3.) Ground Slamming – he will start stretching flat on the ground and slamming the ground.
Just anticipate his attack and react accordingly, just do the same routine you are doing to first and second boss. Attack 1, just defend and you will be fine. Attack 2, you need to defend and you were lucky if you were a little far from him. Attack 3, if you have already created a good numbers of Mogyan you can teeter him before he start slaming the ground. You will be stunned if he successfully slamming the ground.
You will receive the Kibapon’s Memory after you kill King Zaknel or completing this mission.
Patapolis: You can now create a Kibapon at the Mater, Tree of Life.
10th Mission – Battle for the Oasis -
Nothing unusual on this mission, you just need to destroy many buildings. Just maintain Fever to complete this mission. If you’re finding a hard time, hunt and create a Rarepon.
11th Mission – Gong Returns –
Hopefully on this mission you have created many Rarepons. This mission is quite hard to complete because of many Zigotons wave. A full Army with many Rarepon as well as good equips and a constant Fever is the key to accomplish this mission. You will also encounter a Zigaton Dekapon on this mission.
12th Mission
12A – Zigoton’s Attack Again?! –
This mission will be easy if you have a great number of Rarepons. A number of good items could also be found on this mission. If you wiped out easily and hastily the first and second wave of Zigoton attcks, the 3rd wave will retreat.
12B Cap of Fah Zakfon – Desert Paradise –
(Third hunting map)
Refer to the 3rd MiniGame – Mountain – Kon Kimpon on the MiniGame Section.
If you start this mission use only Yumipon and Yaripon, there is a Pink Motiti here called Momotis that you need to kill in order to get the item Dusty Crystal to reveal a boss map (Guardian of Knell, 4th Boss Map - Dokaknel).
12B Under Side Mission – Guardian of Knell
(Great Dokaknel)
The fourth Boss Map of the game, Dokaknel Boss is the same as King Zaknel in terms of attacking but Dokaknel have greater HP and Damge over King Zaknel.
In the beginning of the mission you will get and learn the Pon Pata Song (Dodge/Retreat Combo), the ryhtm of Dodge. Use this to evade or to escape attack, you just need the right timing to evade an attack.
Just do the same routine you are doing on King Zaknel plus the additional of the Pon Pata Song to defeat Dokaknel Boss. Good for you if you get the Dokaknel’s Fang on your first completion of the mission.
13th Mission – Convoy Escort –
Just maintain a Fever Mode and escort Carriage to the end to complete the mission.
14th Mission – Despair –
This mission is impossible to complete for the first time not unless your Patapon Army is consist of Full Mogyan or Barsala Army equipped with Ancient and Divine Weapons but it is impossible to attain on the early game especially if you are only new to the game.
Well the game really wants you to fail on this mission to open another mission before you go ahead on continuing this mission. If you want to see it then try it out. You can demolish the first two towers but the last castle is impossible to destroy for the meantime. You can quit the mission or wait your party to be wiped-out.
You will need a catapult to complete this mission and for the meantime you shift to another mission before heading the Despair mission.
15th Mission – Ray of Hope –
Once the mission begins you'll see wall separates you from an attacking Catapult, quickly bring down the wall, and steal the Catapult to Zigoton aid you from the battle. You must cross the Catapult up to the end and don’t let it be destroyed or else it will be a failed mission.
After completing this mission the fourth hunting map, World of Ooze Map will now be available. If it happens that this map is not raining better take this mission first to get the Tailwind Miracle.
Once you acquire the Catapult you can now head back your last mission Despair Mission and finish the mission with the aid of the Catapult.
16th Mission – Door of Promise –
Side Mission – Rah Gashapon – World of Ooze Map
(Fourth Hunting Map)
Refer to the 4th MiniGame – Chef – Rah Gashapon on the MiniGame Section.
This is the same 14th Mission – Despair – the mission name will change after completing Ray of Hope Mission. With the help of the Catapult you can now demolish the Castle of the Zigoton and if happens that you also get the Tailwind Miracle you can execute the Tailwind Miracle before pummeling the castle, it will help your Yaripon and Yumipon on attacking the castle, plus the advantage of that they are far from receiving damage from the enemies.
17th Mission – Battle! Bachikoi Fort –
You must acquire the Tailwind Miracle and equip it before you start this mission.
Start your Combo farther to the tower and perform a Tailwind Miracle. (Refer to the Miracle Sequence) After a successful Tailwind Miracle this mission would be easy for you. Just maintain Fever Mode and calculate before the wind goes back to your direction and perform another Tailwind Miracle.
18th Mission – Lord of the Mountains –
(Stone Goliath Gaeen)
Gaeen Boss have three main attacks
1.) Eye Laser Charge – he will stand high charging his eyes and releasing with the form of Laser.
2.) Hand Drill Toss – He will slam his hands on the ground then drilling it tossing afterwards.
3.) Hand Stomp – He will raise his arms and stomp the ground.
This boss is easy to kill compared to the previous bosses because of its large size, Gaeen will receive most of your attacks dealing a massive damage on single attacks and Gaeen is also slower in terms of movements. This is really an easy to deal with just defend on dodge when he will launch an attack but you can teeter this boss most of your attack since he receives almost of you attacks.
After you defeat Gaeen you get a Dekapon Memory.
Patapolis: You can now start creating Dekapon Army but I rarely suggest not to use this as your primary army, don’t invest to much on Dekapon and save your best items for your upcoming army the Megapon.
19th Mission – Legendary Night Sky –
This mission is difficult to accomplish. Gong will challenge to save the prisoner. You can start maneuvering your combo while he is chatting to be in Fever Mode early. Just maintain the Fever and you can reach in the prisoner in not time.
As soon as you rescued the prisoner, it will drop an item a Broken Sign the will reveal a Boss Map (Awakening at Gayeen Map). It is up to you if you don’t get it after you rescued the prisoner; you don’t have to worry because it will not vanish and will stay there until you finish the mission.
For the meantime you need to back track after you rescued the prisoner by executing the Pon Pata Song (Dodge/Retreat Combo). You need to retreat for the meantime for you to manage a fight Gong single handedly; it is difficult to fight him a long side with many Zigoton armies on his back. You will end on losing and your armies die after the other. So manage to retreat first after you rescued the prisoner the fight single handedly and afterwards he will retreat and now you can able to fight the remaining Zigoton army and complete the mission.
Patapolis: Meden has been kidnapped by the Zigoton. The last hunting Map is now available. You have 3 options to deal with it; 1.) Meden Kidnapped, 2.) Awakening at Gayeen (Boss Map) 3.) Search for a Lucky Star Map.
20th Mission – Tripe Side Mission –
Since there is 3 optional missions; I suggest we will take the Meden Kidnapped Mission to be the last. If the Search for a Lucky Star Map Sky is CLEAR we will take it first because this is the very important Map else we take the Awakening Mission which is a Boss Map.
We need to take 2 missions on Search for a Lucky Star Map and we need to start the mission ONLY when it is not Storming. If it is Storming, take other Hunting Maps or Boss Map for the meantime until we spot a clear sky on Lucky Star Map.
20A – Ton Kampon – Search for a Lucky Star –
(Last Hunting Map)
Refer to the 5th MiniGame – Blacksmith – Ton Kampon on the MiniGame Section.
You will acquire an item Black Star that will reveal a Boss Map (Claws of Cioking) for the first completion of this mission.
20A Under Mission – Claws of Guchoppa Ruins –
(Claws of Cioking)
Cioking Boss has three main attacks.
1.) Sleepy Bubble – Cioking will lean backwards and his arms arm bending and his pincer is open and close at the same time.
2.) Pincer Crush – Cioking will lean backwards but his arms is not bending land his pincer is alternating open and close.
3.) Pincer Grab and Throw – Cioking will lean forward like he was sheltering and scoop your army by his pincer and throw your army away. (Reset and restart if it happens to you because It will be a Goodbye for long for your Patapon ^_^).
Just do the same routine you are doing on any boss and just anticipate his attack, just defend or retreat if he will launch an attack. You don’t have to worry if your quite far from Cioking, you can defend and withstand his Pincer Crush attack else if you are too close to him especially Hatepon you need to evade his Pincer Crush.
All you have to look for is his devastating attack the Pincer Grab and Throw. If you are in Fever and you are not sync with Cioking attacks, just break the Fever and perform Retreat Combo if you don’t want to lose a unit.
20B Mission - Awakening at Gayeen –
Well Dogaeen is similar to Gaeen and he stronger than Gaeen. If you had defeated Gaeen in an easy manner, there would be no lectures regarding with this since they also have the same attacks plus on this mission you will learn a new powerful Song.
On this mission you will learn the Final Song, the Pon Chaka Song (Charge Combo) the power of Charge. Just do whatever you do at Gaeen Boss plus the additional Song you had learned the Charge Combo.
20C Mission – Meden Kidnapped –
Don’t use any flame weapons and Divine Stew on this mission. Since you get the Pon Chaka Song it will add to your Offense especially when you are not in Fever.
A quick note, perform March combo until you close in to the carriage, if you are not in Fever Charge Combo then Attack Combo. Just repeat the sequence March Combo, Charge Combo and Attack Combo but if you are already in Fever you can perform a March, Attack, Attack Combo and you can complete this mission in an easy way.
If it the carriage happens to burn (if it happens you equipped a Flame Weapon or Divine Stew) while you were attacking, just execute March Combo twice to close in to the carriage and waiting for the burns to subside then you can launch another Attack Combo. Just wait for the burn to subside and only attack the carriage if it is not burning else if you want to see a irritating mission failure you can try to do so ^_^
21st Mission – Gong Vows to Fight –
This mission is difficult to complete especially if you don’t have any good equipments as well as a good number of Mogyans or Barsala Patapons. There will be many waves of Zigotons on this mission and you will encounter the Megapons on this Mission for the first time.
You just need to maintain a Fever Mode, if you beak and can’t manage Fever Mode for most of the time of this mission surely you will failed. Just perform a Defend and Attack Combo, you don’t need to evade because you will complete this mission trough brute force.
You just need to focus on Gong’s Zigoton back-ups, if you manage to kill them first there would be no problem with this mission. You just need to focus fire on the back up force then you can attack Gong with no problems.
If you defeat Gong he will drop either the Gong’s Scythe or the Gong’s Helm. I prefer the Scythe because the Helm doesn’t add that much on stats, only for collections.
22nd Mission – Volcano Guardian –
(Merciless Crab Queen)
Ciokina is not different with Cioking, they have the same attacks. It is just only a greater version of Cioking so just perform the same tactics you are doing with Cioking.
Before Cioking dies, it will drop a Megapon Memory so you can now create the most power ful Patapons in the Patapolis for completing this Mission.
Patapolis: Megapon is now available for creation at the Mater, Tree of Life. If you had invested and reserved an item for Megapon during the entire game, this is now the time you are waiting for to unleash the most powerful Patapon Army in the game.
23rd Mission – Across Enemy Territory –
Well this mission is an easy one. You just pumped up for Fever and crushed Spiderton with your insurmountable Attacks. After you defeated Spiderton he will drops his Helm.
24th Mission – Facing GateGhoul Baban –
This mission is an average type of difficulty. You can try to equip a Stew to boost your Patapon Army. The only pain in the @$$ on this mission is the Shooting Spears of GateGhoul Baban but as long as you maintain Fever and constant Attack Combo victory will be in no time. You can also execute an Earthquake Miracle to aid you with the GateGhoul Baban. After defeating Scorpiton he will drop his Helm most of the time but I experience to have the Ancient Spear on some try of this mission.
25th Mission – Zigoton Queen –
This mission is an easy type especially if you have plenty of Mogyan Patapons. You don’t have to worry anything here except for the Zigoton that will appear. She is irritating because she will aid Beetleton by sprinkling too many sparkling crystals that will made your Tatepon sleepy. You will be aided by HP flask everytime you wipe out a wave of Zigoton army. The problem you will encounter if the armies drop a good item, you will having a hard time picking it up because of the disturbance of the Zigoton Queen.
26th Mission – Kharma’s Pet –
(Carnivorous Shookle)
Shookle have three main attacks and one counter attack.
1.) Sleeping Gas – She will curve her vines on her back and release sleeping gas.
2.) Bottom Stomp – She will raise her vines above her and will jump and stomp your sleeping Patapons.
3.) Patapon Shake and Eat – She will lay her vines in front of her and starting picking Patapons one at a time.
4.) Sleeping Gas Counter – She will release a sleeping gas every time you teeterr her.
This boss is really one of a hell of Boss Fights especially in High Level, I really having hard time on these Flower Boss Fights. Her counter is irritating especially if you are making a stunning Attack Combo; if she receives a massive hit she will be teeter and release a sleeping gas. This Boss is susceptible to Teeter that’s why she has a Counter Attack so don’t use Melee Patapon Units when doing this Boss Fight. The next attack after the Counter is a Bottom Stomp attack to your sleeping hapless Patapon. Just make sure that Hatapon is not closer because a high level Flower boss is a one shot Bottom Stomp kill to Hatapon, even to some of your Patapon Unit.
Just equip your best Weapon especially the Flame weapon and if it is not a waste for you, use a Divine Stew to boost the HP and attacks of your Patapons Army. The vines can be burn by Fire attacks and could paralyze her for doing the Patapon Shake and Eat attack.
If she manages to attack you by Patapon Shake and Eat attack, you still have time to launch an attack to burn those vines that held your Patapons or simply launch a massive attack to teeter her, in that case if the Patapon held captive will be release. But if she manages to eat and stock your Patapon to her stomach (this scenario is pretty cool seeing your Patapon held captive inside her stomach hehe), you don’t have a choice but to quit and restart the mission.
She will drop the Dark Palace Model when you defeat her. It will now reveal the last hidden ruins of the Patapon World Map.
26A Side Mission – Dark Palace Guardian –
Take this mission first before starting the Final Showdown Mission, this Boss Map was revealed after getting dark palace Model Item at Shookle Boss.
Another Flower Boss Fight, Shooshookle resembles the First Flower Boss Shookle and for the last same boss thingy, just as the same as the other one.
You just need to manage to put a good distance to her and don’t use Melee Patapons. Perform the same trick you are doing with Shookle to overcome this boss. You will have a hard time on this boss on its higher level.
27th Mission – Final Showdown –
(Insatiable Shooshookle)
“This mission is the most difficult of the entire mission of the game and you might complete this mission more than 30 minutes.” All you have to do is save before you take this mission. You know the purpose of doing this, so I will not tell any details just go ahead and start the mission.” RAWR ^_^
By the way, in this mission I get the Shield Special Item, the Giant Shield “Octagon”.
Final Mission – Servant of Darkness –
(Two-Faced Devil Gorl)
The real Final Showdown of all Boss Fight. Gorl has two form and two main attacks per form.
First form main attacks
1.) Purple Electric Ball – he will raise his hands around the middle while fingers stretched out. He will gather a Purple Ball in a form of Electricity.
2.) See You in Hell – He wil stand still and his hands are bent forward. He will then picks up Patapon and will fries it by electric bolt close to 1M damage.
Second form main attacks
1.) Diving Drill Charge - He will retreat for far distance and will dive to your army.
2.) Purple Fireballs – he will lie down and start charging and releases purple fireballs and may cause your unit to fall asleep.
Well since this is the last Boss I will not make any comments I will just leave this to your best of strategies.
The only suggestion I can give is watch the ending up to the credits, finish it and you will be surprised for what will happened.

Patapon Kuletz (c/o Samurai, thank you po)
http://www.2pstart.com/2008/02/27/marching-to-the-beat-of-a-different-drum/
TIPS Galore (c/o Chok. Thank you Sir)
TIPS GALORE!
1) Save before fighting bosses! Kasi pag pangit ang drop n'ya, reset na lang, para hindi siya maglevel-up! Two most important (for me) ay yung first boss, Dodonga, kasi ang best drop n'ya ay Super Cedar (level 4 wood), at si Zaknel (bulate boss) kasi ang siya ang first boss to drop Mytheerial.
So save before fighting a either Dodonga or Zaknel, check if either drops a level 4 material. If not, load game and repeat. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT settle for anything less than a level 4 material (or a rare weapon).
Umabot si Dodonga ng level 13 sa akin, kasi piniga ko ang 9 Super Cedars (6 for Mogyoon Yaripons, 3 for Mogyoon Megapons). Dapat level 10 lang, pero hindi ako nakasave sa first few...
Si Zaknel hanggang level 10, kasi you'd need 9 Mytheerial for the Divine equipment.
2) Ka-ching problems? Farm at World of Ooze! Even when it's raining, sometimes may Gold Motsitsi dun, para sa Mystery Meat (level 4 meat). Also, the crabs sometimes drop a Magic Alloy (level 3 alloy). Dami rin kalaban kaya dami meats and ka-ching. I use Yaripons, Yumipons and Megapons for hunting. Avoid the melee units (Tatepons, Kibapons, Dekapons).
But don't forget to save after every hunt, kasi pag nawala ang ulan sa World of Ooze or Search for a Lucky Star, most often than not, may Gold Motsitsi dun, plus, sa Search for a Lucky Star, nandun si Hoshipon (star na Patapon), giving you around 700 ka-ching! Kaya dapat lagi nagse-save, kasi pag hindi mo napatay yung Gold Motsitsi, reload lang, at most likely, wala pa ring ulan sa stages na ito!
Note that when farming, always use NON-FIRE ELEMENT WEAPONS, kasi you'll never know when a Gold Motsitsi is there (at least in the World of Ooze).
3) When to power-level and make your most powerful army? The best time, for me, is once you get Megapon's Memory! Don't settle for anything less, develop Mogyoon Megapons, ownage sila, promise! Mogyoons are the second highest level of Ultra Rarepons, second only to Barsala. But Mogyoons have the most powerful attack bonus among all Rarepons, so dito ka talaga babagsak kasi once mataas na ang level ng mga boss, hihina ang Barsala units eventually... So what would you need? Mogyoons need one level 4 material and one level 3.
Ang final team ko ay all range units, kaya Yumipons, Yaripons at Megapons. Mogyoon dapat lahat yan! Kaya kailangan mo ng...
9 Super Cedar (for 6 Yumis and 3 Megas)
6 Mystery Meat (for Yaris)
+ the corresponding level 3 material (Magic Alloy, Hinoki, etc) which are
6 Hinokis (wood, for Yaris, easily obtained from Tree Minigame and World of Ooze enemies)
6 Tytanium (metal, for Yumis, easily obtained in a perfect game in the Mountain Minigame)
3 Awesome Alloys (alloy, for Megas, obtained from Crabs in World of Ooze, and Smithy Minigame)
Oh, kailangan mo rin ng ka-ching!
480 * 6 = 2880 for 6 Yaris
900 * 6 = 5400 for 6 Yumis
1800 * 3 = 5400 for 3 Megas
Total = 13680 Ka-Ching! Wow! Mahal, pero eto na ang magiging final team mo, trust me. Cheesy
4) Item hunting? Here're the easiest farming locations for me:
Hinoki = Tree Minigame, World of Ooze Kacheeks
Super Cedar = Dodonga
Dream Meat = never really used this...
Mystery Meat = Gold Motsitsi in World of Ooze and Search for a Lucky Star (when not raining), remember, they are FIRE-IMMUNE, so change your weapons accordingly
Tytanium = Tree Minigame (rarely), Mountain Minigame (on a perfect game)
Mytheerial = Zaknel
Awesome Alloy = Crabs in World of Ooze, Smithy Minigame using Hard Irons
Magic Alloy = Smithy Minigame using Mytheerials after getting all Divine Equipment, bosses
5) Weapon hunting?
Bosses, except for Dodonga, Zaknel and Gaeen, drop the Ancient Weapons and those Unique Weapons (those with a name). These are randomly and infrequently dropped. The Save-Load technique will do the trick. Cheesy
Ciokina, Gaeen and Shookle have special Horn drops. Dokaknel has a special Spear drop too.
Divine Stews will help you greatly as bosses level-up.
Ideally, you would need:
3 Horns: Divine, Ancient and Gaeen/Ciokina/Shookle
6 Bows: Divine, Ancient, Giant Bow "Flailnaught", 3 Piercing
6 Spears: Divine, Ancient, Giant Spear "Bullet", Dokaknel's Fang, Spear of Protection (optional, if you have the demo save game lang), 1-2 Scorching
6) Divine Equipment
Divine Equipment can only be obtained in the Smithy Minigame using Mytheerials. On each attempt, only mistake is allowed. If you got 2 or more, no more Divine items. Remember, if you fail on a Mytheerial attempt, reload! Mas madaling ma-load kaysa sa pigain ang boss. Cheesy You can only have one of each type, so 9 Mytheerials will bag you the complete set.
Also, Ton Kampon the Smith will randomly give you a Divine equip if you're successful. You can reload your game if you don't want that Divine equip.
Personally, you would only need the Divine Horn, Divine Spear and Divine Bow. So once you get 3 Mytheerials, try to get these three ASAP.
Lolz natapos din EDIT ko na lang yung mga pics UPLOAD ko lang tapos add ko na lang.
Enjoy playing the game.
@Mods/Admin
Pa merge na lang po ito sa thread ni Evilsparda, ang hirap na po kasi isingit ang haba ng po ng thread. Thanks po...
